BMC Toys Production Roundup: December 2023

Posted by Jeff Imel on

BMC Toys - Classic Toy Soldiers Collection:

The second wave has been well received and some items are out of stock. The initial production runs were lower quantities that were spread across inbound shipments, so some items will be back in stock around the beginning of February 2024. Some new items will arrive around April:

  • BMC-67297    CTS WW2 US Half-Track Gray
  • BMC-67295    CTS WW2 US Half-Track OD Green
  • BMC-67296    CTS WW2 US Half-Track Tan
  • BMC-67365    CTS Western Ranch Accessories 15pc

The Western Ranch is similar to the Desert Ranch with brown animals, white fences, and leafed trees instead of bare trees. The 3rd wave of BMC CTS will include Alamo and Civil War items with estimated arrival around August. Some good news is the factory has located the CTS Alamo Mexican Heavy Cavalry molds that have been missing for a while.

Here's a look at all the 2023 BMC CTS releases:

BMC Toys - American Hero Collection:

Allies and Axis Flags are out of stock with restocks on the way around February. I'm considering some other flag sets such as WW2 European Theater, WW2 Pacific Theater, and Revolutionary War. The main project for 2024 is to get more of the original BMC Toys Yorktown molds reproduced with the aim of a full Yorktown Playset revival. Reproductions of the original BMC Alamo furniture and camp accessories are also in progress.

BMC Toys - Classic Army Men Collection:

Some restocks arrived a few days ago and a couple more are scheduled to arrive December 18th. We'll be getting into some more projects in 2024. Some items on the 2024 'to-do' list include completing the MPC DUKW reissue, Naval Cannon, Bunkhouse, and Fort Ticonderoga. The Louis Marx & Co. ACW Cavalry Riders should also be getting released as parts packs and bagged sets.

BMC Toys - Plastic Army Women Collection:

There's some potential projects that were frequently requested by supporters during the original project that may be worth developing. I'm not mentioning anything specific until I check in with the supporters to gauge what they're most interested in.
